Motorists in the Barnet area may face some disruption over the coming weeks due to temporary closures for roadworks.
Notices from the London Borough of Barnet in this week’s edition of the Barnet Borough Times detail the roads affected, starting from Monday.
Coleridge Walk is set to be shut for five days from Monday to allow a new water connection to be laid. However, the restrictions will only in place from 8am to 5pm each day.
Longer-term water connection works mean Alderton Way is set to be closed to vehicles for 21 days from 8am on May 31.
The alternative route for motorists will be via Alderton Crescent and Vivian Avenue.
These works will also affect Rundell Crescent, which will be shut between its junctions with Vivian Avenue and Alderton Way.
However, this closure is only expected to last for seven days from 8am on May 31.
The alternative route will again be via Alderton Crescent and Vivian Avenue.
Gas main replacement works mean traffic is set to be disrupted in the Highview Avenue area for 13 days from June 1.
While the works take place, these restrictions will:
Prohibit traffic from entering Edgware Way from Highview Avenue.
Prohibit vehicles from entering the northernmost section of Highview Avenue from Highview Avenue (southernmost section from its junction with Highview Gardens), or Highview Gardens.
Introduce a one-way system, north to south, on Highview Avenue, between its junctions with Edgware Way and Highview Gardens, for vehicles to travel southbound only.
