Knife arches and drug detection dogs were spotted at Belvedere Station on Tuesday in a police operation cracking down on criminal activity on the transport network.
Officers were carrying out stop and searches on those travelling through the stations, and arrests and numerous fines were made.

The crackdown on a sunny June 8 was a joint-operation between local Met Police teams, British Transport Police and ticket inspectors from Southeastern, and images show a large presence at the station.

Police led the stop and searches, erecting a knife arch in the entrance of the south east London station, and a drug detection dog was in attendance.
Whilst details of the arrests have not been disclosed, police said arrests were made by Belvedere and Thamesmead officers.

Meanwhile, ticket inspectors caught "numerous" ticket evaders and issued fines.

The local police forces said they were working "to combat fare evasion, drugs and violent crime," and promised further combined operations in the future.
British Transport Police added that they had been working in cooperation with MPS Belvedere and Southeastern on the evening of June 8, and regularly work to deter, detect and disrupt criminal activity on the transport network.
