Cash and suspected drugs found during police raid in Potters Bar

Police have made two arrests after cash and suspected drugs were found during a police raid at an address in Potters Bar.

Officers executed a warrant at an address in Cotton Road on Thursday, April 29, following intelligence about suspected drug dealing and anti-social behaviour.

Once inside they found suspected Class A and Class B drugs along with drug paraphernalia and a quantity of cash.

Detective Inspector Baz Kaila, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit, said: “We will never stop targeting those who we believe may be involved in the supply of illegal drugs.

“Statistics show us that individuals who deal drugs are also often committing other crimes in the community.

“Living near to those who deal drugs and behave in an anti-social manner can have a massive impact on people’s quality of life and drug addiction can devastate families.

“We depend on the public to let us know what is happening in their communities so that we can target those believed to be involved in illegal activity.

“You can contact us in a number of ways including completely anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.”

  • Two 24-year-old men from Potters Bar were arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs and possession of a controlled drug. They have been released under investigation while police enquiries continue.
