Universal Credit payments to be worth less than what they were in 2013 if uplift is axed



UNIVERSAL Credit payments are currently benefiting from a £20 uplift which is being received by all claimants. This uplift was introduced in early 2020 to help families through the pandemic and since then, the Government has faced calls to extend it beyond its April 2021 endpoint.
