ESA, OR Employment and Support Allowance, can only be claimed for by those under state pension age, who have certain health conditions and are not getting statutory sick pay. However, there is also a "new style" ESA which has opened up its eligibility criteria in light of coronavirus and could see more demand as the 2nd lockdown continues.
