Average 50something homeowner has £57k of unused space in their homes

The average 50-plus homeowner is sitting on the equivalent of £56,574 worth of unused space in their house and would be quids in if they down sized or turned to equity release. A study of 2,000 adults found that the older generation are left with 34 square metres of empty space in their homes after the offspring have flown the nest. -»
