UK property: Lending figures rise but will the race be on to remortgage before August?

Offering a pick-up for a somewhat subdued property market so far this year, figures for those borrowing to remortgage, move home and buy their first property rose annually in May, according to data released this morning by lending trade body UK Finance. However, lending to landlords who were purchasing investment property fell, in a continuation of the trend we’ve seen over the last few months. -»
