Terrifying footage has emerged of the moment a group of men wielding machetes started fighting in the street in Greenwich.
The video footage from @999London is linked to a 'serious stabbing' which occured on the Greenwich Peninsula on Wednesday afternoon, leaving a man in hospital critically injured.
Four men can be seen swinging blades and other weapons at each other in the broad daylight attack as neighbours repeatedly scream for them to stop.
The brawlers fight with knives, machetes and a hammer during the horrfying south east London row.
The distressing footage was taken at around 4:20pm on June 2 on Barge Walker and Bessemer Place in North Greenwich, shortly before police and paramedics rushed to the scene.
The London Air Ambulance was called, and one man was rushed to hospital where he is critical.
Met Police called it a "shocking attack in broad daylight outside people's homes," and have assured the public that additional officers are being deployed in the area following the violence.
The disturbing footage appears to show three men fighting another man, stripped to the waist and barefoot, with both sides slashing at each other.
Meanwhile, passerbys shout for them to stop and terrified local residents can be heard screaming from their balconies.
Police have since released an appeal calling for witnesses to come forward.
No arrests have yet been made, but three men were seen running from the scene.
Detective Inspector Dave Ryan, said: “This was a shocking incident that occurred in broad daylight outside people’s homes.
