Sutton has been named as one of the smartest regions in the UK, according to a new study.
Sutton was ranked sixth place, based on a number of factors including A-level results, education expenditure, Ofsted ratings and students in higher education.
Research from Supplement Place has found that the UK is the sixth smartest country in the world, with Sutton ranking highly on A-level results.
In Sutton, the percentage of students achieving at least two A-levels or equivalent is 91.8%.
Its annual education expenditure is reported at £121,783,000, and has 33% of its schools rated as 'outstanding' by Ofsted.
The statistics, which are pictured below, gave Sutton an overall score of 6.93 out of ten.
Taking the top spot for England was Trafford with an overall score of 7.43 out of ten. In second place was Lancashire ( 7.21 ) and Newham in third ( 7.08 ).
Following shortly behind Sutton was Buckinghamshire and Reading.
